3 Arizona Activities Just Beyond Superstition Mountain
From hitting the links on our two Nicklaus-designed golf courses to numerous social events, members of Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club enjoy an active lifestyle. Next time you’re looking for an extra dose of adventure, look just beyond the gates of our private golf course community in Arizona for unique experiences in the area.
1. Desert Belle & Dolly Steamboat
Enjoy a unique view of two of Arizona’s lakes, both within 20 miles of our gated golf course community. Board the Desert Belle to tour Saguaro Lake or Dolly Steamboat at Canyon Lake to view unique geological formations, plant and wildlife. Both vessels have been offering guided voyages for more than 50 years, allowing guests a unique water adventure in the desert.
2. Apache Trail Tours
Experience the Superstition Mountains in thrilling fashion by exploring the wilderness area in a 4x4 jeep with Apache Trail Tours. The off-road desert tours take guests into remote areas of the desert, opening up opportunities to view the majestic mountains and wildlife that are often unavailable by many. Tour by abandoned ranches and mines from the 1800’s gold rush. Apache Trail Tours offers a wide variety of excursions from the tame to the adventurous.
3. Outdoor Segway Tour
Available from November through May, Fort McDowell Adventures offers a unique outdoor Segway tour through the Sonoran Desert. Led by Arizona locals, saunter your way through the Yavapai Indian Nation Land and experience a rare cultural glimpse into the Native Americans who call this area of land their home.
After a day of adventure, return home to the relaxing and inviting lifestyle expected at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club. For more information on dining, social and other local events, contact our Banquet Event Manager at (480) 677-6639.
