Benefits of a Private Golf Club - Luxury Amenities
Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is Gold Canyon's premier private golf club and guard-gated community and an abundance of luxury amenities make the club a great place to live and play. Our members enjoy elevated county club activities and offerings enhanced by superior service, breathtaking views, pristine course conditions and genuine friendships that combine to create a lifestyle that vacations aspire to.Below is a quick rundown of some of what Superstition has to offer.Golf
Superstition boasts not one, but two award-winning golf courses offering 36 holes of Nicklaus Designed golf. From the first tee at Prospector to the 18th green at Lost Gold, each hole is intended to be inviting, playable and challenging for golfers of all skill levels.
Fun fact: Prospector Golf Course combines the creative skills of Jack Nicklaus and his son Gary, while Nicklaus teamed up with his son Jack Jr. to design Lost Gold. The courses also offer an executive-length par 65 and par three option. This allows us to maintain the integrity of our courses – and keep it challenging for skilled golfers – while offering the ability to get in a faster round or adjust the difficulty as needed.
The Nicklaus Design team says it best:
“Golf at Superstition Mountain is more than just a game – it is a captivating experience. Nestled along the edge of the legendary Superstition Mountains. Lost Gold and Prospector are two championship golf courses, each with its own unique personality and its own promise for an individual challenging golf experience. At an elevation of 2,000 feet, both courses are desert courses and feature native areas and natural dry riverbeds."
The experienced team of golf pros at Superstition offer a wide range of golf instruction for players of every age and skill level. Whether you are looking to take your game to the next level or are new to the sport, they’ve got you covered. Youth golf, women’s clinics and private lessons are popular options among members.Dining
From elegant fine dining and wine dinners to a relaxed bite to eat after a round of golf or bocce tournament, Superstition Mountain offers members a diverse range of culinary options. We serve up thoughtfully prepared, seasonal menu selections along with innovative weekly specials and member favorite comfort foods. Our series of creative pop-up dinners have become popular among members - so much so RSVPs fill the day it opens and we have a waiting list each month. For the pop-up, the location where they’ll be dining or what will be served is not revealed until the night of the event. From eating under the stars in the courtyard to progressive dinners that travel to different locations on the property – it’s a fun way to enjoy sophisticated meals in new, perhaps unexpected, settings.Unlike many clubs, our memberships do not include a Food and Beverage minimum and, instead, we’ve created the Culinary Club program. Members who opt-into the Culinary Club pay a modest annual fee and then receive a 50 percent discount on all regular food purchases at the restaurant. Being mindful of full-time and part-time (second home) members, both year-long and six-month Culinary Club memberships are available.Another benefit offered to our members is the Superstition Wine Society. For a modest annual fee, Wine Society members can enjoy wine at a discounted rate - whether ordering it for home or to enjoy while at the club. The Wine Society is given first priority for wine tastings, wine dinners and wine showcase events. One of the bocce images is a natural fit but I think an event photo could also be nice hereSocial Calendar
One of the things we hear time and time again when members talk about why they love Superstition is that the people are what make it such a special place. So, it’s no surprise that some of our most popular and beloved attractions come from the club’s packed social calendar. From seasonal parties, golf tournaments and happy hours with live music to classic car shows, trivia and bocce there’s always something going on at the club. And the social calendar isn’t restricted to events at the Club; there are regular organized excursions to visit local attractions and popular restaurants. Transportation is arranged by the club for a stress-free outing.Speaking of bocce, it’s one of our most popular non-golf amenities. The club hosts annual tournaments and more than 100 members regularly participate. New to the game? Check out our blog on How to Play Bocce Ball.If that isn’t enough, member-run clubs offer something for everyone. A few popular clubs include:
