Celebrating The Fourth of July

4th-of-july-events

The 4th of July is quickly approaching and here at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club we are excited for the many firework-filled festivities happening around the Valley. If you’re deciding how to spend the holiday, there is no shortage of events near our private golf club. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite annual events and provided some fresh recipes to keep things festive while celebrating at home.

EVENTS

Arizona Celebration of Freedom
Mesa, Arizona
One of the largest (free) 4th of July events in the Valley, the Arizona Celebration of Freedom typically includes a patriotic car show, naturalization ceremony, thrilling live entertainment and plenty of food and drink offerings from local restaurants and breweries. The festivities are capped off with a spectacular fireworks display.

Gilbert 4th of July Festival

Music lovers take note, the main attraction for this event is a rocking stage featuring a rotating lineup of live music. Plus there’s food trucks and fireworks, what more could you ask for?

Prescott Frontier Days®
Prescott, Arizona

Not exactly close to home but this historic event is worth the drive. And with an average July high of only 85 degrees, it’s a nice way to cool off for the holiday.

On July 4, 1888, locals in Prescott organized the first official “cowboy tournament” and the rodeo was born. Today, the week-long Frontier Days celebration still hosts the World’s Oldest Rodeo® along with an arts and crafts show, two dances, parades, mutton busting and more.
